Llanes is a neat coastal, happenin’ small city. The majority of the day was rural walking. We met a most interesting man (and his dog) out on their morning stroll a couple miles outside of San Vicente. He has a small country estate where he has planted hundreds of Sequoia trees from Northern California as well as avocado and lemon trees. He enjoys chatting with the pilgrims that walk down the lane beside his home. We heard him speak Spanish, French, and English within twenty minutes depending on who was passing by.
Only two challenging uphill climbs today; the rest was rolling hills. Spain continues to impress with gorgeous landscapes.
