Del Norte day 3 – Zarautz to Deba + ~ 15.5 miles

Another challenging but beautiful hike today. The first hour was a flat, coastal walk, but from there it was a lot of steep ups and downs -often at a 70-degree ascent and descent. We’re getting a workout! These Spanish towns nestled in the valleys have so much personality, and you can feel the sense of community. We left the coast for a few hours as we walk through and around miles of northern coastal vineyards. We finally found two churches that weren’t locked up – yay!

I would like to see BW and Kirk get a cooler of fish up this ladder!
